LOL! Well Will, you know I'd love to but I've got a house to pay for and quite frankly more important things to pay for than going out and getting pissed. Unfortunate but true, heyho.

Boo - Well above all I do need to get to uni in the first place and how am I supposed to do that if I don't have a decent motorway car? Answers on a postcard.....

Yes I am it's a great daily driver, loving it, wish I'd got one with a bigger engine but it was a bargain and the 2.0ltr engine isn't as bad as you think, you can push it and no snap oversteer (alla MG Midget lol) so it's great

Got to get rid of the bloody wheel trims though

Will do my best to make it, in BMW or Midgie is the question though!!

Hi Porscha,

Congrats on the new car - looks in very good condition and is very 'current' being white

All it needs now is some alloys, clear indicator lenses, philips clear vision bulbs and a de-badge and no-one will ever know it's a 520...except us and we're all sworn to secrecy anyway

Enjoy!

Thankyou. I love white cars always have, my Midgie is also white

Alloys - certainly I soooo need alloys!
Clear indicators - will they look good?
Philips clear vision bulbs - are they those "angel eyes"?
de-badge - can see where you are coming from but a 520i is what it is and I've nothing to hide with it

Seriously considering Midgie going and buying a 540i manual because they are great cars and I can probably get one cheapish

Always loved white cars myself - first and second cars were both white and I've promised myself that one of these days I'm gonna buy a white 997 GT3 (gorgeous).

As far as the clear indicators go...I guess it's personal preference really but IMO they would make the car look far more modern (I know you're not normally keen on that but with this car it ought to look good).

Philips bulbs - sorry my mistake, they're actually called Silver Vision: They are indicator bulbs for use with clear indicator lenses and have a silver coating (so they reflect the white of the lense) but when illuminated the orange glass (beneath the silver coating) makes them glow orange - neat idea really.

You can see here: http://www.bmwdiy.info/silvervision/index.html

or buy here: http://www.powerbulbs.com/product_detail.asp?prod=69

Don't get me started on GT3s....I soooo want one!

I see what you mean with the clear indicators, I'll look into it, though don't want to spend too much as I don't keep any of my cars long!

Thanks for the help

Here you go, nice and cheap without ruining the original looks of the car, plus if you ask them nicely they may do them a bit cheaper...

Really excellent price but I'm not sure of them as personally I think bigger wheels on a white car will really make it! Maybe I am wrong, advice please.

Would want to see what the car would look like though as I don't want it to look Chavvy!

I can always take the wheels off and sell them separately when it comes to selling the car as I always keep my wheels is excellent order

i think the ones you picked would look out of place, as look sort or sporty and would suit m sport cars, i think something like carlos wheels, like 4 or 5 spoke, sort of chunky feel to them, i remember i have some on a e46 5 spoke they looked sort nice on a SE
