Guys, there is already a forum with quite a few threads on it (see my sig). Just throwing it out there. There's people there who help out, too (in fact, some of the e90post members who code post there as well).

Anyone have any luck enabling SMS (PHONE_SMS) or the Notepad (NOTEPAD_CIC) feature inside CIC? In the case of the Notepad, the option appeared on menu, but when selected it doesn't appear to do anything. Thanks

Pseudo Nim, oh ok. LOL Sorry that I missed it. For some reason outie's signature is more visable. I'll add the other forum to my sig and sheet as well since E90Post doesn't want to create a section for us...

Hopefully you will be help me out with one more...
I was able to disable the orange LED's as the DRL's and worked fine. Now I am trying to disable the same orange LED's this time when they are on with the regular headlights at night. The spread sheet lists: FRM PWM_FL_ALS_CORNERLIGHT NFRM PWM_POL_BEI_AKTIVEN_AL NFRM PWM_POL_BEI_AKTIVEN_FL NFRM SL_FKT_MIT_POL I only have the first parameter in my modules and it is already set to "wert_02" which the spread sheet says to set it to. Unfortunately the LED's are still on, and im not sure what else to try. Any ideas??? Quote:

Try different options? wert_01 thru wert_04.
Here's what I did. I searched for "SL" and "CORNER" and "POL" and looked what chages it did. One of them did the trick for me. I did heard from one of the vendors back in a day when I had them do my coding that not every car is able to turn that LED off. Don't know if it's true or not. Quote:

Thanks @El-Drifto. Nice find I am going to test this later. (What year is your car? Do you know if you can use DVD in motion in Germany stock?)
I am confused about the orange led. I have an E90 LCI, are you guys talking about the 3 little orange led lights from these values (posted by @Outie) "WL_POL_3R" -> nicht_aktiv For the amber LED w/ headlight (YES! I finally figured it out!) "PWM_POL_BEI_AKTIVEN_AL" -> wert_04 "PWM_POL_BEI_AKTIVEN_FL" -> wert_04 To turn off the amber LED on parking light: "SL_FKT_MIT_POL" -> nicht_aktiv Can someone take a picture of which lights these refer to. Log no, but you can diag (and clear codes, like a BT Tool) using INPA.

Question is, though, what are you using to tune - because most chip tunes offer their own logging. The Procede has one, JB3/4 has one I think, and the Cobb the has a (very good) built-in logger.

Notepad doesn't do anything and the SMS feature won't be of much use unless you have one of the few older phones that support SMS over bluetooth.

Another coding success here. Another nice member PM me to tell me how to get a manly sound alarm chirp as oppose to the girly chrip I was getting. Since I did not see it posted here and I cannot find the spreadsheet, I am not sure if it has been added to spreadsheet. Work like a charm, in DWAS, find BUZZER_HIGH_LEVEL and replace: wert_06 wert_07 wert_08 with wert_04 wert_05 I suspect that if anyone who do not like the manly sound chirp can change their wert value to get a more girly sound chirp. The chirp is quite lound now. I might try to see if I can lower it by using wert_04 wert_05 wert_06

Does Progmann work with 2010? Im a little confused what you use progman for? I know it's for updating modules but does it do coding also?
Nice fix @TxUsa. I know there were a couple of members having this issue. I love how were still finding out new things. We need to make sure we keep the spreadsheet updated. |

Then I try to explain more , when we change the engine mapping of a vehicle, we must log the data engine to check the variable (turbo pressure, injection,...) I wondering if anyone here knew a logging software for bmw (like VCDS for Volkswagen ) Am I more clear? |
