WPC Treatment and golfball dimples?
This is my first thread on here so bear with me,guys. I've tried to get this discussion started on Facebook pages, but no luck at all. I drive a '09 335i E90 w/N54. Its at 83K miles, pretty much all the maintenance done (waterpump and thermostat, coils and plugs, new valve cover gasket and RB pcv valve). Just JB4 with MHD backend and catless DP's. I did the PE mod about a month ago and went fully catless only to discover my turbo seals went kaput. I'll be going FBO, upgrading my turbos and LPFP. Not trying to break records though, I just have some questions about possibly doing these mods as well. Thanks and hopefully I can get some helpful info and tips on this thread!
WPC treatment I've never heard of anyone doing this kinda of treatment to there cars, but now that Im looking into it, it looks pretty promising. Thinking about getting upgraded turbos with WPC treated bearings for my N54. What do you guys think? Thought this link would help too- http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticl...about-WPC.aspx Also, has anyone ever thought about intake porting with dimples on an N54? I was reading up on this today, it used to be popular in the 80's. I wonder if it would make any difference since we're running boost. Theres tons of forums and talks about this subject on Google. Thats an interesting thought. I wonder if this thread can be moved to the N54 forum. It would get much more traffic.
