exhaust system

Because I've been dealing with exhaust on my 1998 Nissan, and a bit surprised on the cost of parts (Cali emissions), I decided to price the 335's exhaust:

2007-2010 $6,183 (not incl. all the incidental parts, just the main components)

2011+ $3,132

BMW should have lowered the list price on the 2011 by over 3k on the exhaust alone! What a major savings by eliminating 3 cats.

How long will the factory exhaust go before needing repair? My Nissan was 11 yrs. in the Northeast, so I bet the BMW can go longer....the replacement on the Nissan lasted only 3 yrs., so nothing comes close to the original parts imho....
