I figure there aren't too many of us out here on the boards. I think it would be nice to put all our info, comments, concerns, etc in one place.

Post your auto tune settings, custom settings etc.

Happy to join the thread. Installed my v4 today (waiting on Shiv to send me the v5 test version). Already a noticeable improvement over stock... the wife and I both love it!

So I take it it would be pointless to run race gas?

Well honestly, there might have been a difference but it sure as anything wasn't worth $7.50/gallon. The car felt strong but did it feel that much stronger? Like I said, $7.50 a gallon is a lot.

Lol yeah, I was really excited when I figured it out. I'm autotuning at 13.8 like everyone else. I'm wondering what woul happen if I let it autotune to 14.5 when I put race gas in. I would "assume" it would be ok. I don't think it would be worth spending 10.50 a gallon for ms109 if all I'm going to boost is .2psi more.

After doing some data logs the car was holding boost up in the 13.8/14.0 area all the way till about 6600rpms. After that boost tapers down to about 11.

The nw v5 has a pretty smooth boost curve now and to me shifts a lot faster than before.

I'm wondering if someone could send shiv a datalog with racegas and downpipe and see if he oks us to turn up the power a bit.

On a side note boost would raise to about 18psi between shifts, that kind of boost would make me feel all warm inside lol.

The problem is that we really don't know the fuel system limitations so runing race gas does nothing to help in that situation.... Meth on the other hand would supplement the fuel system.
I've alredy experimented with rasing the boost and Shiv knows about my findings...so let's just hope that he's working on getting more answers on what the limit really is soon.

14.8? wow, Thats what I'm talking about there. Did you raise the boost yourself, or is that regular for MT?

TIA

You're not going to see a difference unless you raise the boost. If your max is set to 14, autotune won't actually hit 14, maybe during a spike but otherwise you'll see 13.6/13.8. If all you did was put race gas and didn't raise your max then you just wasted your money You probably only maxed out the timing which should be doing anyway at 13.8 if you had decent pump gas.

Have you tried going through the gears with that boost (2-5th)?
Or are you just doing 3rd gear pulls?

Shocking ,is no secret, what I found is that I cant boost past 14.8~ because the car goes in to some kid of fuel cut/limp mode(not procede related) after I go through the gears (2nd-5th) and shortly after I shift in to 5th it happens. That's why I'm asking jjurroz about his car...this might be a AT and DCT car only then if he's actualy able to boost 14.8 or more.
Also keep in mind that other then a full intake my car is FBO so even though I might be at 14.whatever I might be flowing mote air than someone with just the tune....

Man, you guys are up early today. But this is what I figured, without changing the boost myself all that was affected was timing. I don't plan on upping boost above 14 until more fueling tests are done. On the other hand, someone take a procede only 335i to the track and tell me what you trap. I can't do this until OSW is opened back up.

What are you boosting between shifts? I've seen 18-19 on a regular basis, I believe it even hit 20 once.
Oh an were u on v4 or v5? I had th same problem on v4, but shiv said it was boot creep which has been corrected on v5.
