Yeah, 40 ft. gave the Caravan a half second to react to what you were doing and see the pot hole. Point being it's not the BMW's handling that saved you but rather your perspective on the pothole and luck you saw it in time. The Caravan's situation was entirely different.

He was clearly following too closely.
I could say my e92 has saved me from a near-deer, but in reality it was my cat-like reflexes.
Didn't hurt that I had a low center of gravity and amazing stability control, xDrive, ABS. and whatever else you can think of. But it was 99% driver.
