YVR-5: September 8 @ 7:00pm
YVR-5 : "The Night Riders" Start: Mount Seymour Parking Lot Time: September 8, 2007 @ 7:00PM End: Stanley Park - Parking Lot by Totem Poles Route: The majority has spoken (unfortunately it was only a slim majority...but interests of giving people advance notice I'm setting it down)...so September 8th is the night of our night cruise. We will all meetup at the parking lot up at Mount Seymour @ 7:00pm. We will start to leave when the sun starts to set (between 7:30 and 8:00pm). Then we will head down towards Horseshoe Bay. We will cruise through the village and turn around and head back through West Vancouver via Marine Drive. Then we will get onto the Lions Gate Bridge and park by the Totem Poles (near the 9 o'clock gun). We should be there between 8:30pm and 9:00pm for a final angel eye photo shoot. If you can't meet us at Mount Seymour for the start...at least drop in to say hello at Stanley Park! Hope to see you there! Sign up by clicking here! P.S. If you cannot make this event...keep your eyes peeled for a cross WA/BC meetup that will likely happen around early October on a Saturday. YVR guys will group up, cross the border and drive down to the US together. Likely meet the WA boys somewhere in between. Details being sorted here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80635 Make sure you have your passport renewed by then! Last edited by spacedogg; 09-01-2007 at 11:28 PM.. |

Finding wide open parking lots is a pain in the ass in the city...nobody was suggesting anything so we settled on Mount Seymour. Besides...it only takes about 15 to 20 minutes drive up from the bridge...depending on how fast you drive.

i'd be interested in going but not feeling the meet at the top of mount seymour
how bout a park that is tucked away in the city that not many people know with lots of street parking and a really wide road? Bobolink Park Corner Nanaimo St & E. 61st Avenue Vancouver, BC http://maps.google.ca/maps?hl=en&q=b...wloc=addr&om=1

I am fine with a change in venue and/or route. I originally suggest Seymour over SFU as I thought it provided a little more seclusion for those that wanted to have a little fun....and, for me, it was not much further.
But I am not sure why you guys didn't voice your preferences when SpaceDogg first asked for input on this. |

How about we meet here?...
This place looks great.
We could enjoy the park-like settings, the diverse culture, and the local hospitality; no need to lock your doors or roll the windows up. How about we just meet up where Spacedogg suggested and enjoy the drive?

Wow...so many suggestions after the time and place have already been setup. Where were you guys last week when we were trying to get suggestions? LOL.
Well...I guess it's partly because of the short notice...but the previous poll seemed to suggest people wanted to have a meetup in early September...so that's what we went ahead with. Hence the short notice. I only got one suggestion for a route...so that's the one we went with. Let's stick with the scheduled meetup points of Mount Seymour and Stanley Park. I think lots of people had fun driving up Cypress at the last meetup...this should be fun too. Paul and I will keep your suggestions in mind when we plan the next meetup. Thanks guys... Looking forward to meeting up with you guys. I've got new wheels to show off at the meetup too...here's a preview. |

Your ride is looking sharp. Can't wait to see it in person and thrash your clutch in my 'testing the CDV delete' mod you have See everyone on Saturday night. Quote:
