Talking My custom exhaust build thread

Hello guys. Don't post much over here but thought i'd let you in on my build.
I got clipped by a car on the 1st of April. The damage wasn't too bad just new bumper and new bumper support. Looks worse then it was honestly.

I decided after to get a bumper upgrade rather then get another stock single side exhaust bumper. I debated on mtech or m3 rear for a week and then decided to go with the m3 after many pm's with Shamim who gave me great advice and suggestions. I have always loved mtech but felt like it's kinda played out now and everyone has it even most of the used and new e90's at my local BMW dealer all have mtech. I know some of you will hate the m3 rear and call me a poser and what not but whatever i think it'll look really good and i'll have no shame in saying i have a m3 style rear.

Anyways car was sent to body shop that same day it got hit.

They wrote on my windshield lol. See if you can read it backwards.

Waited a couple days to get the rear shipped to the body shop

I told my body shop to hold off on painting because i was debating about an idea i came up with and sought the advice from my friends and gf.
I did a crappy photoshop of Shamim's set up with the m3 rear painted how i plan to get mine done.

Bumper was painted SG to match my car first and then they are going to spray the bottom portion matte black. I really hope it comes out great.

Final product

Exhaust:

Since i have to totally redo my exhaust to go quads this will be where i'll show you guys.
Car currently only has D1Swoop scoops, muffler delete, and AA tune. E90 also has a Vorsteiner hood and will be getting a trunk very soon to help with weight reduction. I also have removed the rear seats. I know you guys might think all this stuff is stupid but i feel a difference in driving my car and driving a regular 328i loaner or friends cars. Not saying my car has 100 more horse power without seats, hood, and trunk but it feels like it accelerates faster which is always nice lol. Car will get re-tuned after exhaust is done and get a K&N drop in filter. I want to do the charcoal filter delete but i'm scared of messing something up. I've read the DIY and a few people have effed their stuff up lol.

Final Exhaust specs
Secondary cats removed
Resonator removed
2.5 inch piping from where the secondary cats started all the way through to
the new magnaflow race muffler with x-pipe
The race muffler is being placed where the resonator was originally and then 3 inch piping from the new race muffler to the 3.5 inch double walled style tips.

Final product posted with final exhaust specs. Will record HD video of exhaust probably tomorrow.
I swear the sound is amazing! It sounds so deep and not raspy.

The good thing is i haven't felt a loss in torque but it really screams and pulls a little harder past 40. I can't wait to get retuned for no cats and Euro airbox. This guy did really amazing work on my car. Going to really try to get a video up this week guys.

I like the M3 rear bumper but it has this "net" in the middle through which we can see the bottom of the trunk/exhausts which makes ugly at times.
Congrats. How is the sound of the new exhausts?

I also bought a set of the Custom Exhausts for my sportster. The bike had drag pipes on it when I bought it and read here about performance issues and it was just too loud to boot. I didn't want to wake the neighborhood on them 6am startups I bought the medium baffle to go with it just in case it was too loud. I tried both and liked it real well without the baffle. Has a nice deep tone without the window rattle. I've not had many to compare to but I'd give it a thumbs up.
