koni yellows for sure. What tires are you running?

Yokohama advan... I like learning the car on a true street tire before going to aggressive street or r-comp tires

Good luck avoiding the mod bug! Sounds like Koni's would fit the bill. Then LSD! Haha

I have never tracked my IS before, I have surely drag raced it though. I do not trust the stock brakes, I have been on the track test driving an M6 and I felt much more confident in cornering and breaking.

I cannot say the same for the IS after increasing power. My brakes start to weaken after three consecutive runs on the drag strip consecutively ran. There is more braking on the track.

I just dont have the confidence in the stock brakes unless our planing on doing 2-3 laps max then resting.

A brake pads, brake lines, and fluid swap fixes all those issues right up

Drop the JB3 and get a newer tune like COBB or PROcede. I'm sure a few people will get all defensive for me saying this, but if you want control of your Boost, Timing, and Fuel.... Just do some research... Vishnu has a DME flash now to fix fueling and a booster for LPFP issues with high Ethanol content. You'll find big gains over your current tune with a newer tune and e85 mix with premium. Good luck...

Thanks but not looking to go crazy with the mods. The JB3 is more than enough for me

Not really I thought I wanted a vette and test drove a TT Z06 and didn't particularly care for. Besides with the money that was in your vette, your 335IS will beat that 1/4mi time. Prob wouldn't be very good on a track though LOL

lol anything can be a monster if you throw money at it... the vette just has a much better platform and the mods for the BMW are actually a bit more expensive than the Z06, believe it or not lol.

$15k in a Z06 puts you at 600rwhp and a track monster suspension that will wipe the floor with just about anything, car or bike, on a track or in a straight line. You have to remember that my old Z06 weighed only 3040lbs... the bmw is over 400 lbs heavier. It would take over 800rwhp in the BMW to compete with a well done H/C/I 600rwhp Z06.

Like I've said before, the Z06 is excellent in overall performance and looks, but seriously lacks in all other areas. The 335is is not excellent at anything, but it is pretty good at everything, making it a more complete car.

Is your IS a DCT? I drove an IS DCT a while back and LOVED that thing. Only issue is the DCT holding a lot of torque. Being as you track it it's prob a 6MT huh?
