Seat Creak

My drivers seat seems to have developed a 'creak', sounds like a dry spring coming from the back rest part of the seat.

I'm assuming something needs lubing or a spring requires replacing, wondering if anyone has any experience of this or where the best sections to lube are.

I say it seems to be the back rest part as if you lean in and but pressure on the rear of the seat (no weight in the seat itself) you can hear it.... quite annoying.

Garage List
I had a very similar creak with my passenger seat. Spent ages trying to figure out what it was as putting weight changing the position had no effect. It turned out to be the head rest had been moved (up/down) and not clicked into place properly.

If only it was that easy

Resat the headrest but I do think its coming from the lower hinge part of the back rest where it meets the base by the seat belt buckle........gonna have to go bananas with the WD40.

I had a seat squeak for a while and finally realised it was coming from underneath the seat belt receiver buckle and not the seat at all. When I drove along and put my hand below the buckle I could feel the creaking.
To fix, just spray loads of WD40 into the top of the seat belt buckle, it will find its way down. No need to take anything apart.

I have got the same thing - I think it is a leather meets plastic problem. Don't waste your time with wd40 - have a go with silicone spray - did mine and it got rid of most of it - still one squeak left in a similar position to yours.
