Help! ipod OS4 integration problems

So, I just updated my ipod touch to os 4, and now i've been having all sort of problems with my integration and I have the USB cable. For one, it does not charge anymore and it barely recognizes that my ipod is even plugged in. And if it does, it becomes very glitchy when I try to select a song. Is anyone having any kind of problems with their ipod integration?

P.S. my iDrive is the 2008 version with the one wheel and just the menu button

I'm not suprised. Apple does this to make customers buy new accessories. iOS4 is not supported on any BMW models as far as I know, yet.

What are you talking about?

I can connect my 3G with iOS4 and iPhone 4 with my car just fine.

Hmmm thats wierd...maybe the difference is that I have the 2008 iDrive and you have the 2009+ iDrive?

Both my 3GS and my iPhone 4 work just fine (which could obviously mean nothing, since you're using an iPod).

I have a 09 E92 and use a 2nd Gen ipod touch with OS 4 and have had no problems. It charges fine and have not had any problems with playing music. No iDrive

I have an April '08 build 335 and I've had no problems with either the 3g updated to OS4 or my new iPhone 4.

My daughter's iPod touch is running OS4, but I'm not sure I want to try it in the car. Justin Bieber is probably toxic to my speakers.

At least that's what I'm telling her.

I have had minimal problems in my 2010. I had to repair my phone for the first time today, but not too big of a deal.

Yea but just because it happens to work doesn't mean it's officially supported by BMW yet.

try to reverse the software to ver 3 if that worked for you. call Apple to find out how

same thing is happening to me i have an 08 e90 and when i updated to os4 it got glitchy and barely recognizes the device and apple made it so u cant downgrade software iv tried everything so let me know if u come up with a solution

im having the same problem. when i choose a song it will take a very long time and sometimes play a different song than what i choose. it is very slow now and i sometimes get so annoyed that i will just listen to the radio. and i have the 2008 idrive as well so maybe that is the reason

I just updated my iphone 3G to the iphone 4.1 software and now when I go to listen to my music it doesn't seem to recognize it. I can see my music but it will not play through the system. If i start a song then connect it back to the car's cable it will play but the controls on the steering wheel will not work to change to the next song.

Me too- '08 e90 (No Idrive) Ipod integration, 4/W updated itunes and software last week. WTF?!

NOTE: AUX wire does work. IMO sounds better than intergration every did.
