Dust cover for rear wheel broken - bad news?
I bent a wheel on Saturday (and it's been an adventure getting it replaced) but when I had the new wheel put on, it looked like the dust cover for the shock was damaged, and split, falling/hanging off the shock body.
How bad is this - I feel like it will increase shock wear? Also, the interior squeeks bad now with the windows up... |

any picture of said damage? i dont think it will do too much damage but definitely want to replace it at some point. Main thing to look at is the bump stops. Are they still attached in good condition?

Idk if we are talking about the same thing. Post pics. If we are talking about the same thing then, when my shock cover came off snow and ice formed on it and jammed it no allowing it to come down and compress.

Pretty sure we are talking about the same thing. The thing is, the OP is in Florida so doesn't need to worry about snow or salt or anything, just dust.
