KW V1 Advice
Hey folks,
I am looking to buy a set of coilovers for my 335 e90 sedan. I am looking for the height adjustability mainly. I wont be tracking the car other than the occasional spirited drive. The car will be running some aggressive 19's. Would KwV1's work? Will they be able to stance the vehicle low enough and stiff enough so that they wont rub? I will be rolling and flaring the fenders to help with the rubbing. I just dont want the car to sag to much under acceleration and in turns to cause it to rub. Any advice? Hope people understand my ramble lol |

A coilover suspension basically gives you a matched lowering spring and shock absorber combination with the added benefit of adjustable ride height and spring rates through a moveable spring perch or perches. Coilovers are to your car's advantage by reducing unsprung mass, increasing suspension travel, and allowing the car to be corner balanced.
The KW V1 will give you the ability to adjust the height of your vehicle with pre-set damping from the engineers at KW. This is going to be perfect for a daily driven vehicle as it will definitely stiffen up the ride a bit compared to the OEM sports suspension. The ride comfort will also be comparable to the OEM sport suspension as well. The KW V1 will allow you to lower the car from 1.2-2.3" in the front and 0.9-2.1" in the rear. You'll be able to adjust the height of the car as you see fit and make clearnace for the wheels if need be. I'll go ahead and shoot you over a PM with more details! |

Hey I have one question on this that I've been wanting to ask....maybe it's stupid or un-answerable.
Would you say that KWV1's ride on KWV2's softest dampening setting?

the KWV2 at the softest setting would probably be softer than the KWV1.
remember since the KWV1 arnt adjustable, the factory will have to set it so its a comprise between comfort and performance leaning a bit more towards performance.

Yeah, I knew they weren't adjustable.
I'm just wondering if the factory setting is about the same as KWV2's softest setting....
