HPFP upgrade intro pricing

Ok guys, so after the tuning this weekend. I am confident that the modifications we perform work well. We will be offering the upgrade to the public now. How it will work is, you can either send us your pump and another fuel system part we will need, or we can get them for you and just add it to the price. The intro price for the upgrade will be $499. If we buy the parts that will be on top of the parts. If you are interested, contact us via email Tony@vargasturbo.com and we can discuss how you want to procede. Please do not ask for details of the upgrade as we are not going to share them. Thanks for the support, we appreciate it.

You should list what parts/components you would need from the customer, that way you wont be asked the same question 1000 times.

How can you expect to charge $500 for a an upgrade without some kind of details on what you are doing, specs ? Give us a reason to spend the money and we will. What is upgraded - what parts are upgraded? Is that too much to ask ? $500 for a pump that will never fail again , I am in as long as I know what the details are.

He also said don't ask for details about the upgrade as he won't be sharing them.

While I get why, I can see why one would be hesitant to fork over their pump plus $500 without knowing any details about the upgrade. And also, without knowing the long term reliability of said upgrades.

We upgrade the pump and one other fuel component the fuel rail, it is not secret, the modifications work in harmony with each other and doing only one doesn't do much, we figured this out through a lot of time and testing, exactly what we modify in the pump we are choosing not to disclose because as I said, it took quite a while to figure out and no one else seems to have been able to in 3 years. The ST guys have been using 4 meth nozzles to get extra fuel since the kits came out. We made 673 WHP our second time on the dyno with no additional fueling except what is coming out of that pump. I do agree some people might be skeptical buying an upgrade they do know exactly what we are modifying, my only answer for that is, I understand, but thats the way it is at this point, no one is forcing you to buy anything. I can say if you want to send me near maxed out fuel logs of HPFP and STFT before the upgrade and then after upgrade making more than 550 HP, if they are not back down in a healthy range you can ask for a refund. I have no doubt they will be. We made 673 yesterday and the car was pulling out massive amounts of fuel because it had so much of it.

That is nice work, and like I said, I get why you don't want to disclose more. I am no where near (and probably never will be) 550hp.

I'm a big fan of your work, but I'm well invested in procede v3, Vishnu meth kit etc and wanted to know what options I have regarding your stage 3 kit? Can I upgrade my HPFP and use your turbo ? Maybe shiv would consider buying your HPFP upgrades and bettering the ST offering.

I'm also a right hand drive owner being in the UK so that's also a big concern

I would say yes, you're going to want to have the demands of the extra flow on the high pressure side met on the low pressure side.

It increases the flow capacity of the pump, more flow, more fuel, more power. It will help with e85.
