Hey,
I thought I'd put this out there in case anyone is interested in helping out a newbie with some "simple" DIY mods. Looking to do the following: - CDV delete - badge delete - Lower grill replacement (SE bumper) - suggestions for other easy mods while I'm at it? I have an '07 E90 base model (non-sport) 6MT. Have access to some tools, but no Torx, and no jack. I do have an indoor garage (condo parking downtown), or can travel to anywhere in the GTA (or slightly beyond) if you have better facilities (or don't want to travel). I've never done anything like this before, and feel like I would need a second set of hands to do this work. Any experience is a bonus. Timing is flexible, but weekends are best. Hopefully someone here has a bit of free time and is willing to help! Cheers |

For the badge delete, use a piece of tooth floss. Heat up the badge with a blow dryer for about 10 minutes. Then slide the floss behind the numbers and it should come off pretty easy. After the badge is off, you should still have a bit of residue left on the paint. Use a good degreaser or some type of strong cleaning liquid and it should just rub off with a microfiber towel. Enjoy!

cdv is simple but not that 'simple' to do .. it is in a pretty hard to get to position, almost middle of the car & i wasn't able to clip my line and spilled brake fluid all over the place and ended up having to re-bleed the brakes.
