Hiya you lot
I've had a company vehicle (Transit Connect) for the last 12 years so never needed anything else really but we are due a new addition to the family so it's a bit impractical really, can't strap a baby down in the back of that can I :P

So then, jumped right in at the deep end and found a 57 325d M Sport that I liked and bought it. Never driven a BMW before never mind owned one so yeah, it's an eye opener.

I've never felt more planted to the road than this, love it ;-)

Hi, new to the E90s. I have come from a 2005 330ci M SPORT auto and purchased a 2020 325d M sport Auto.

I also have a rare E36 M3 EVO GTII sat in the garage.

I seem to have lots of little faults with my E90 so will be asking lots of questions.

Wotcha!

Hello, another newbie to the forum got a Silver E90 318d. Only thing I have changed is the grill to an all-black matt grill. Looking to remap, code with beep on lock and mirror fold on lock too

Hi, just bought myself a 330d m sport manual. Did quite a bit of research and decided i wanted an earlier m57 engined car.

Found a silver one in real good condition with a good spec so went for it.

Will start a new thread with a pic

HELLO / Bonjour

Hello fellas!

Now before I get flamed down for having the froggy flag in the UK forum part, I have lived in the UK for over 20yrs and only back in France since 2008.

I'm soon (as in the next couple of weeks) going to get a E91 LCI 330D Xdrive. Quite existed as a 2005 E90 320d was my first (of a few) BMW but that was back in 2006...

Here's my BMW gone but not forgotten list:

E90 320d (the one with the exhaust pipe looking like a dog turd) lovely grey leather interior, sports suspension and 19" style 162 alloys. spacegrau. tramlined like a Mààt7er F""'er looked gorgeous! (especially after an A4 avant 1.9 TDI - hated Audi since)
E39 535i (gitt crashed into it)
E39 540ia (thanks to that gitt)
Z4MC ACS kitted serious prep to chassis, spacegrau, black leather interior, M Carbon effect leather trim pack) Silbergrau (just sold ) after many years of TLC and LOOOOVE.
E90 330d x-drive M Sport blue - stolen in 2014

Anyway, getting older and fatter, needed a bit of €€€€, too expensive to run for the use I had of it. Want a Caterham at some point+ want to increase my skill set first, needed a good A2B machine + room for our Cocker Spaniel, windsurf stuff etc.

Having never even driven an LCI I'm really looking forward to it. Would have liked RWD but this x-drive is a bit of a steal with all the option, M pack, leather, pano roof, manual box etc. Oh and of course spacegrau (for a change lol!

Mods I'll be undertaking/ wish to undertake:

Change the pig ugly 17" style 194 wheels (although I may keep the size depending on comfort) 18" on my phase1 was very bouncy. Don't think I can stagger with xdrive either.

Upgrade GPS from Business to Pro (serious head scratching) DYI+breakers/ EBay etc.+cable and laptop. Any advice there?

Change the shitty stereo as well. Alpine upgrade? Full monty Logic 7/ HK?

reversing camera

heated seats

Thats it.

New Owner here:

Just picked up a 2011 E90 M-Sport Plus Edition. I have been a long time lurker on here and just getting snowed under by the info.

If anyone can answer a few quickies that would be great:

1) I have the sport plus model but the wing mirrors are body coloured and not black, am I wrong thinking they should be black?

2) I am so confused by the xenon conversation: Can i just buy a pair of OEM xenon headlights and just use an autologic to recognise them? I did this with an evoque to great effect.

any help on these would be appreciated.

Hello everyone. A newbie here but not new to BMW cars. On my 6th now and current is a e90 LCI 320i Sport Plus which I just bought a few days ago.

Yes I know should have gone for the 320d but the atmosphere around diesels has changed and don't want to buy something which may drop in value too soon.

Cheers!

Hi all, 1st post, im looking to buy a E92 335i coupe.

Ive been a Mercedes man for a few years, had 2x C55 AMG's, loved the engine, and they were both flawless nothing went wrong at all, did 2 trackdays and oulton park in the lastest one, but sadly it's going to be written off because some idiot decided to swerve into me the other week.

I wasn't going to rush getting another car but a rather nice 335i caught my eye. Went to view it and loved everything about the car, its a 2009 with all the toys, the good Idrive, and DCT box.

The 1 concern is the service history isn't brilliant. its also been modified, but the mods are quality items so not worried about that, ive read the gearbox and engine can take a lot of power.

Boost solenoids and all vacuum hoses new
High pressure fuel pump replaced 2016

Im waiting on more info, service history etc, if its not very good should I be walking away?

E92 335d

Hi,

Recently brought a E92 335d - having it remapped tomorrow by Quantum Tuning. Has anyone had any experience with them?

There online feedback is good but would like to hear some opinions first-hand. Thanks!

Had my 335d done by https://viezu.com/ - they have won all sorts of awards, one given to by the queen - they make most their money from software on fleet cars for bluechip companies, but are super experienced on performance side of things also.

Make sure where ever you get it done they don't map the gearbox and put more torque through it than it can handle!
