19" wheels

I would like to go to 19" wheels but to stick with the standard width tyres 225 front and 255 rears as last time I tried 235 and 265 the gearing changed noticeably. The ideal tyre size to retain standard gearing seems to be 225/35/19 front and 255/30/19 rear. What J wheels would be Ok for these size tyres, would 9.5 be too wide for the 255 tyre? Also what offset have poeple found Ok, my last were 38 front which seemed ok and 40 rear which seemed a little too tucked in.

255 will work on 9.5" wheels, but it might fit a 9" wheel better.
OEM 19" use 8" and 9" with 225 and 255, ET 37 and ET 39.

I have 19 x 8.5 +32 in the front with 225/35R19 and a 19 x 10 +23 in the rear with 255/30R19. I'm running Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tires too. The front looks ok but I know you can run a little lower offset. The back offset is a little too low because I rub with the fenders rolled and the coil over all the way down. I still have to get around to putting negative camber to fix the rubbing. I think an offset anywhere in the 30's would be safe. Here's some pictures

So would 225/35/19 on 8.5j front and 255/30/19 on 9j be ok? going up .5 j front and rear. I dont want the tyres to look stretched on the rims.

If you dont like streched tyres, go with 8" and 9" wide wheels.

+2 an 8" wheel on a 225 and a 9" on a 255 will be perfect.

I put some more pictures on page 2

That's all the pictures I have now. I'd take more pictures now but my car is really dirty and the rain isn't helping.
