Unfortunately I changed other values.
I actually didn't edit the values you mentioned.
Please go ahead and resend the NFRM trc. and I can re-edit it for your.

I have re-uploaded the exact .man file you sent me with the additional error reporting disables that I changed.

If you use this and you are still not seeing a difference in files after coding and comparing, then it is your coding setup not working.

Grant is that file for me or for remote coder?
Thanks.

Grant mate, just a quick analysis on Winmerge showed no difference b/w this file and the one you sent earlier.

Bit sad, as I get exactly the same file from my FRM with similar values except the difference (automatically created during coding) shown in post 66 of this thread.

Exactly so it has to be your software, since the MAN file you sent me had no FEHLERMELDUNG_CC lines deactivated.

This edited version (along with the one I sent before) had multiple more FEHLERMELDUNG_CC lines turned off and other cold and warm checks deactivated in addition to yours.

So if you are using my file and coding the FRM module and they are remaining unchanged, it is your coding setup.

I hope that all makes sense. I've never come across an LCI retrofit that hasn't worked either.

Thanks Grant.

Just to confirm how we are coding.
Load NCS expert.
Load FSW PSW MAN profile.
F1--> F3
Followed by selection of E89.
Select CAS from ECU menu.
Press back.
Select FRM ecu and read ECU.
When it is read, I can recode with you file, and write it to my car FRM.

As I said, after adding your files to my car, same file if coming out if I read FRM module.

If you say, it has to do with my coding setup, what can I do to try something different?

You are champion, but unfortunately I am stuck with this.

I think, I will try resetting the whole FRM with blank MAN file to see, what I generate from my car, and re-code it with your file again.

Thanks and really appreciate your input and will let you know if I get success.

Make sure after you select the FRM module you select F5 (basic functions) and pull in the FSW MAN file. then F2 change job and select SG_Codrien and execute job.

Did you follow the DIY to setup your FSW Profile "to the T"?

Yes I do exactly the same as you mentioned.

I am not aware of this, setting FSW profile to T and what does it mean?
Can you kindly explain it please?

In the DIY, it leads you through setting up a custom profile... the one you select when you first open NCS.

Did you follow it exactly (aka "to the T")?

Yes, I followed DIY. However DIY is old and step 25-35 is not possible with new NCS expert.
In my NCS there is already FSW PSW MAN profile, so I do not need to creat it again.

Considering all other codings worked, and everything works, this should also work.

I really appreciate your help Grant and to me you are champ having that patient, but I am running short of patience and thinking of living with those bulb errors.

Thanks mate.

You shouldn't have to live with them though.
I wouldn't use a pre-existing FSW profile just in case.
Like I said I made all corrections in that MAN file. You can open it with Text Edit and see the changes yourself. Look for the FEHLERMELDUNG in the text and compare mine to the one you sent me.

Those are the values that should be changing among some other warm and cold check.

Something isn't right if they aren't changing after coding though.

Grant as I said, they are getting changed and getting written in the car FRM.
Means after writing your file and extracting it, it comes up with all the changes you made.
However despite of that, I still get rear brake lights error and I put it down to LED in the light.
As soon as I put Pre-LCI lights, all errors disappears (as in Pre-LCI lights LED bars are operated by bubls).

Hope it make sense or give you some clue.

Oh! I was under the impression the only changes being made were the 3 you listed a few posts back.

I'll have another look through the file at lunch for you.

I can see how frustrating this must be for you!

Finally, I am glad that you get it.
Those three lines are the only difference to your file.
Basically if I write you file to my FRM, it get written to FRM.
But if I extract it from my system, it comes automatically with addition of those three lines.

I also reset the whole module with expert mode, and tried with your file, but at the end, I still get the error and final file comes with the addition of those three lines.

I am not sure if LED bars on my lights are faulty or bulbs.
I have changed few bulbs but results are same.

My file should have disabled hot/warm/and error reporting for reverse bulbs anyway so it should be a mute point. Hmmm

Dang, something is definitely not right.

Grant,
Have you gone ahead and removed the error checks for all the bulbs (cold and warm checks as well)?
Just for testing purpose, they may be the way to go to see for sure.

Those 3 lines that are changed may be some kind of command being active via a function the user activated in there car (i.e like turning on drl lights through the cluster).

If your files that have the changes works then the file is being read and written properly. I suggest disabling all the checks to confirm for sure the wiring is correct. Might be a hardware problem if errors still come up.

You can check out the FSW MAN file I posted above.
It should be good to go for LCI lights no problem.

Desi, Grant file has disabled cold, warm and error checks.
In theory, it should not give errors but practically it does.

Couple of things;
1- files are being written to frm and read with all changes except addition of three lines (I have no drl options on my car)
2- All bulbs are lit.
3- As soon as I revert back to pre-lic lights, no errors appear.

Now my conclusion is that it is either FRMA (aka frm1) or Led bars in lci lights.

Or may be bulbs?
I guess I should change all the bulbs to rule out.

One of my friend had done rear lci retro-fit and without coding, some of his errors are like mine.
I may code his car to see if that becomes error free after coding.

I noticed the following still aktiv from the file above.

Set these to nicht_aktiv:

FEHLERMELD_CC_RL_BL_1_L
aktiv
FEHLERMELD_CC_RL_BL_1_R
aktiv
FEHLERMELD_CC_RL_BL_2_L
aktiv
FEHLERMELD_CC_RL_BL_2_R
aktiv

KALTUEBERW_RL_BL_1_L
aktiv
KALTUEBERW_RL_BL_1_R
aktiv
KALTUEBERW_RL_BL_2_L
aktiv
KALTUEBERW_RL_BL_2_R
aktiv

WARMUEBERW_RL_BL_1_L
aktiv
WARMUEBERW_RL_BL_1_R
aktiv
WARMUEBERW_RL_BL_2_L
aktiv
WARMUEBERW_RL_BL_2_R

These are the rear light brake lights. These being aktiv can be the cause of the warnings.
