Brake Performance Rotors for 335i

Hi everyone,
I was looking for some aftermarket rotors for my E92 335i and came across a company called Brake Performance that make direct replacement rotors for our cars. I found a thread here that a guy was saying his friend has them and he loves them, but nothing more. SO i was wondering what you guys think about them and if any of you has them please chime in and tell me if you think I should get them. I was considering either the Slotted ones or the Premium Dimpled & Slotted. Not considering cross drilled.

Also the other day the guy that works at the shop that i go to told me that the 335i with sports package came with the E46 brake kits and so I should be able to upgrade to the OEM M3 competition rotors, is that true???

thanks in advance guys

I just called the company and I was told that they are machine balanced and made of high quality solid steel. I was also told that the Dimple Drilled & SLotted rotors come with a life time warranty against warping and ofcourse any defective parts.

The rotors are also custom made for every car to be an OEM direct fit which is also guaranteed and if it didnt you can get a refund.

They sound legit and professional and I think their price is awesome. I'm thinking of ordering them but want to hear more opinions!

Steel?

I would stay as far away from steel rotors as possible. Steel is a poor heat conductor compared to cast grey iron, which makes for a terrible application for brakes. Using steel for rotor applications would be tantermount to irresponsible engineering and product development.

You probably would want to clarify with them if they really do use high quality solid steel. If they do, stay AWAY. Especially if you value your life or your vehicle.

I have the Brake Performance rotors installed and am impressed by everything from the CS to the quality of the rotors.

I purchased and installed mine maybe 2 months ago now. At the time of purchase they were throwing in performance brake pads for an extra $20 per axle. They only offer the ceramic pads for the front though so I passed .......

The rotors I purchased are slotted & dimpled ...... AND they have a combined weight reduction of 27 lbs from the OEM rotors.

If I remember correctly, total cost was $520 shipped.
As a side note .......... regarding upgrading to M3 calipers; the only issue I would expect for you to encounter would be caliper clearance. There is some difference between OEM 335 & OEM M3 calipers.

I have the chassis brace and am still waiting on Hotchkis to finalize the ARB kit. I have a shop ready to do the install AND install of the Helix ........... at this rate I should have everything at the same time.

No, I didn't need new rotors ........ just liked the look and slightly better stopping power with the aftermarket rotors.

Have you heard anything back yet from ykw?

From the pics it looks like the slots run all the way to the edge of the rotor. That's not good.

That's weird because everywhere on their website it say's made from cast Iron. I brought their rotors and they were the best damn discs I've ever put on my car.
