N52 still misfiring after new parts
Hi all,
My 2007 328i recently developed a pretty bad misfire situation. I hooked up a scan tool which dictated that the culprit was #6. As the car has just over 104k miles, I decided it would be beneficial at this point to just replace all 6 coils and plugs, as I have had issues with coils in the past, I'm suspecting due to an oil leak that the dealer took care of. I replaced everything yesterday, Bosch coils, Denso plugs gapped at .0043. Before putting the cover back on I fired it up, and I'm still having the exact same issue. The car is misfiring quite badly, and my scan tool is still telling me it's #6. Everything is seated properly, and my plugs are torqued correctly. Am I missing something here? I know that OEM plugs are pre-gapped, but I got mine from Rock Auto and gapped them according to info I found after doing a bit of research. Thanks! |

Injector malfunction? The lead to No.6 injector can easily get snagged. I had a misfire on that cylinder and the lead had popped off..
