Independent Dyno of AFE and Riss Intake

I figured this could help guys in the market for an intake since I Dyno'd both cars on the same Dyno they were different days though I dyno'd the AFE on an 83.71 degree day with 15% humidity and the Riss today at about 65 degrees. My first run with the AFE was 338whp and 325 torque the second was 336whp and 309 torque. With the Riss intake the first run was 348whp 381 torque the second was 350whp and 386 torque and the third was 358whp and 355 torque. George the owner said the third run was because DINAN is conservative and when it gets hot it pulled power back. But he took the car for a ride and was blown away and may buy one for a project car. The third run always goes down when the cars get hot so I don't know why some thought that was weird. The video of us racing should be up later and on three runs I was bumper to bumper with the 406whp 335xi and the owners modified EVO X for three rolling runs on I95. So make no mistake the the dynos speak for themselves Riss has hit a home run.

84 degrees vs 65 degrees is a noticeable difference.

You were bumper to bumper to a 400 whp Xi??? There is almost a 50 hp difference???

I am probably about 600 lbs lighter and it was really neck and neck we ran out of road on 3 runs. The auto tranny in the 135 is awesome, he and the EVO X killed me from the one dig we did but from 20 to around 130 140 it was a drivers race.

uhhhhhhhhh, you cant come even close to comparing those two dyno days.........and in 84 degree weather I would like to see the dyno sheet that said only 15% humidity..........this does no justice for the community since the dynos were dyno'd in the difference of 20 degrees and im sure when it was 65 degrees out there were NO humidity at all.........

did you dyno the afe intake more than once, if you did comparing the 3rd run of that to the 3rd run of the RR intake might give you more conclusive results since both cars would have been heated to about the same temperature and so the IAT would probably be closer.

I would suggest you go dyno the AFE intake again in this weather.......

There no way 20 degrees made the car lose 60ftlbs of torque the car was cooled down when both runs where made. The Third run you would not go off they beat the shit out of it dynoing the car it is way hotter. Beside the dyno only proved what I knew from driving the car with both intakes when I put on the Riss intake the difference was huge the car throws you back into the seat. It has way more power than when I had on the AFE, I bought the AFE I was one of the first to buy the intake and I was a fanboy of it but I could feel the car did not have the snap as when it had the drop in K&N filter so I decided to try the ugly Riss intake because I heard good things about the down pipes and they said they developed it on the dyno. And it won out as soon as I took my first ride in the car. I don't need numbers to tell me what g forces do and the Riss out performs the AFE on the street and on the Dyno.

IDK man but heatsoak alone easily took off 30 wtq from both of your dyno tests. Imagine heatsoak plus warmer temps.
