Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus

Been in the market for a UHP all season tire for a while (waiting to get rid of RFTs). Michelin just revised pilot sport a/s tire. Looked kinda promising, but two issues: (1) Is this tire really different from the last generation?, (2) rear tire (255/35/18) is seriously expensive ($356) and literally priced like a run flat.

I know you can make the argument, you get what you pay for. But the 265/35/18 is over $100 less. What gives???? Typo?

Michelin's are the best tires period. You get what you pay for, true. NO typo, I carry those tires and sell many of them. Let me know if you need some help.

I considered them, but the price scared me away. I ended up with the Yokohama Advan 4 from tirerack. So far I am not disappointed but only put 500 miles on them. I will review them for forum with more mileage.

+1 BMWDAD!

Looking forward to hearing what you have to say about Advan S4. My short list includes the Advan S4 and the GY eagle all season. Will be pulling trigger in a few weeks. Pretty good reviews on both tires at Tire Rack.

What are you guys opinions on the Pirelli PZero Nero M+S. I am definitely interested in those tires but trying to make a final decision.

I had Pirelli PZeroNero M+S on an '05 Acura TL, and I was very happy with them. They handled and braked well, were good in the rain, and quieter than the stock Bridgestone tires.

The A/S plus is a newer design than the regular A/S that we tested in '07. Michelin claims longer wear and better wet traction versus the old Sport A/S.

I have these on my wife's TL and they are fine as long as you rotate them on a regular basis. She gets through Chicago winters without snow tires but she also drives non-aggressively.

Saying they beat the Bridgestone EL42's that came with the car is an understatement, those tires really suck.

I am looking to replace my runflats on my car... Would you recommend getting this tires over the original Pilot Sports? Also does anyone have an opinion on the Michelin Primacy MXV4? I have heard lots of good things about these tires...
