Don at Dallas Custom rewrapped my Panamera Turbo steering wheel. It has the heat option. Still works as good as before. Don't see the problem here.

My E91 came with the standard steering wheel with heat and eventually upgraded to M3 with DCT paddles. I was going to have an LCI Sport wheel redone so I could keep my heating option but honestly forgot all about it. Don has already customized my OEM M3 wheel so I'm probably just gonna stick with it.

Did you have him just wrap it in alcantara? Or can he do two leather options? There's a lot of conflicting answers going around. Someone a couple posts above just said Dallas wheels said they don't do this.

Well Don has been doing my steering wheels for many many years now. He's done my R56S, 996TT, a few E46M3s, E55, 970TT, E91 and bunch of friends I've recommended to him. A large majority of my custom wheels are tri-leather... regular leather, perforated leather and alcantara. The 970TT is the only one of mine with heat option (button is on the back in case you are curious). Pics added are my steering wheels.

Bumping this thread because I'm really hoping to spruce up my heated sport wheel. I love the idea of wrapping over the existing leather to ad 2mm of thickness while retaining heat, and going with perf/napa leather and tricolor stitching would be amazing; Just as some others said, it would be like an MSport wheel w/ heat!

Did anyone actually end up doing this? Who did you use? How did it turn out?

Had mine rewrapped by Royal Steering wheels in the UK. Had a stock sport wheel(non heated) and had them add thumb rests, flat bottom, perforated and smooth leather with a red 12 o'clock and M stitching. Looks and feels AWESOME and the price was great at about $350. Can't beat it

From the few guys that have done this not heir heated wheels, it appears it definitely reduces the heat output
