by the way, this is showing the N54 to be the strongest internals motor in BMWs history given the past tuning...do we thank compression, forged internals or direct injection or ALL for that?

All. I've been trying to push through Sticky's head that DI isn't just for fuel economy, it physically handles fuel and heat better....

But we also have to thank one very important aspect, the hardware development and tuning.

There are many things that Sticky doesn't seem to be able to grasp. Much of them far simpler than the benefits of DI

CA gas sucks. When are we going to get 93 everywhere? So 91 + PWM meth is by default then.

Do you know if Joe at Performance Technic has installed this for anyone yet?

And yes, the smaller turbo should easily be able to make 600whp. We'll confirm that soon enough with CupertinoSteve's 6AT car.

PWM Methanol should be default for anyone running this kit as it's worth nearly 130whp on top of 94oct alone!

I'm not familiar with that shop. But anyone (including an end user) can easily install a PWM meth kit by just following the detailed instructions. It's quite simple. I'd say that 90% of all buyers do it themselves over the course of an afternoon.

Despite a few concerned forum members bringing it to their attention, they failed to design a manifold that could support seperate banked lambda sensors. So i guess they are back to the drawing board.

If we bring the single to the airway event, I'll probably run him. Robert@vishnu's heavily modded NA z06 makes 600whp and is considerably lighter (3150lb with him in it) and much more aero. At this stage in development were the tune is still pump+meth conservative, he'll probably pull on me a bit. But when we do a balls out race+meth map (~700lb with a MUCH fatter torque curve), that Chevy is going to get spanked

That's the right answer...

Then also try a mildly tuned GTR

That's the kind of attitude we need in the N54 scene!

I'd love to see how some of the higher horsepower blown e92 m3s do against your car.

I hope you are able to showcase your hard work this weekend!

Looks like the n54 is becoming like the 2jZ after all. I'll most likely be keeping my 335i and putting a single turbo kit on now. Curious to see what the car can handle.. plus then you guys would be able to me if the 07's have forged internals or not haha

There will be two 700hp+ E92 M3's there, DCT and manual. Other than that, only one other SC E9x M3 is showing up. It is just a stage 1 ESS (non-intercooled).
