No way in my 1M when it gets here Oct 27

We drove her new to us 07 targa 4s to dinner and movie . To start she drives her car during the week and I get to drive on date night.
Anyway I opened the door for her and she slide in,,,, pause,,,,, we both heard the most horrifying scrape! I grab her hand and help her out of the car and yes the bolster now has a huge 1"x3" rub, scrape, whatever you want to call it . Of course she was bummmmed because she knows better as she gets in to drive but as a passenger it slip her my to sit then rotate in. So when the 1M gets here Oct 27, no BBJ's

Hot stuff! You need to produce and sell it as an OEM part.

The OEM housings use some sort of caulking that is NOT affected by heat. Whatever was used, does not soften when heated.

The silicone I used is heat resistant but it does stay flexible. You're right, I did need to cut it open. But it wasn't hard at all. Getting all the glue off was the most annoying part.

I ended up using Liquid nails clear silicone and some other loctite brand silicone.

I won't be making sets for people. I am in the process of writing a DIY guide but I haven't had time to finish and I was set back because I lost the doc file I was writing.

A good 10 hours labor wise. I spent way more time researching all the hardware, etc. Marc really helped out with which LEDs to use.
