In the auto racing capital of the WORLD, according to some.

I checked some of the local boards around here and while there are some place to get high octane LEADED race gas, I have yet to find a place to get something like Sunoco 260 GT100. It is all over Illinois and Ohio but not in Indiana, WTF???? So much for being the racing capital of the WORLD.

That sucks! Well I guess you do not have any Unocal 76 stations out your way? About one out of every 50-60 stations carries 100 octane around here.

How much whp gain does the SSTT give with 100 octane? If I used two SSTTs in series, would I get much more? Would it be reliable?

Even if it would up boost more by adding more resistance there is no way you can run it without adding fuel. That is the downfall of SSTT, no extra fuel adjustment over the stock adjustment....

I guess I won't consider that -- but the smoke billowing emoticon is quite cool.

Hadn't thought about it much -- I guess adaptation adjustments won't keep AFR reasonable....

Question for you guys with SSTT... I've been reading these forums and I see that BMW has been cracking down hard on tuners. Have you guys heard anything about the SSTT being seen by these new updates and stuff??? I've been considering it for a while now and I'm ready to jump on board... or at least almost ready!

I'm just curious if BMW records these things somehow and denies warranty.

Every now and then someone gets a helix or procede that doesn't limp and they are running mid 12's. The Juice box works well, but that's because everyone is running 100 octane and getting low 12's. They seem to run 12.7 or 12.8 seconds in the 1/2 mile on pump gas.
Have any of the SSTT guys switched back and forth between tunes? For a couple of tenths in the 1/4, I can't decide if it is worth the extra $$ for a tune that might cause a lot of problems. I'm a v81 DME and will run on pumpgas. It looks like the options available are JB2, Procede v3 doomsday (when released) and SSTT. Any thoughts?
I used to have a SSTT, I used to love it. Such a great product! But after a couple of months I started to search for more power, so I went with the JB2H and now I love my car even more!!! Its such a great product. on 93 Octane pump has I was able to run a 12.67 with the JB2H!
If you have the v81 DME your options right now are JB1, JB2, and SSTT. If you get the JB1 or JB2 you'll be able to upgrade to JB3 (release date is mid august) which will allow you to run more power on pump gas and at the same time it will be able to avoid the "hidden codes" if you have the V81 DME or program 29.2

Do you have to wait for the sstt to adapt to your car in order to feel a difference?

Exclamation

First you can not run two SSTT together or you will have trouble.

Second the SSTT is invisible to the new detection protocols on either the V80 or V81 DME's

Third, in respect to other piggy back units, it is very important to realize you can be caught if the unit violates any of the four adaptation tests or the electronic resistance test that is done automatically via the new Isis test computer when you go in for any service visit.

On 100 octane we have seen 55+HP gain. It's a real kick in the pants I do it pretty often.

I'm eagerly waiting for my SSTT to arrive - I ordered it last week Living in the UK I use Shell V-Power (99 RON) exclusively for my 335i so I ought to see good results
