Be careful out there!

I can't believe how windy it is out there!

I'm looking out my window and there are tons of construction material being blown off of roofs from hi-rise buildings around here. The police have been closing off streets because of the falling debris. It's incredible.

Good thing my car is inside.

There is a tree that is about to come down in front of my house in Brooklyn (mill basin). Has a light pole and a electrical transformer attached to it.

FDNY and ConEd are here, as well as the police. Just waiting for it to come down at this point... The roots of the tree have lifted the sidewalk already.

Ughhhhhh.

I live on Center Ave and Whiteman St.

I just came back from dinner in Pal Park and I saw the debris from the hi-rise apt. There was sheet rock, particle board and even bricks littering the street. It was like a war zone.

I had a hard time opening the lock to my garage door. Something jammed it. It took me about 2 minutes to get it open. I got completely drenched in the meantime.

took me 3 hours to get home from Long Island when it is usually a 45 min drive... 3 trees taking up 2 lanes and the shoulder of route 4... had to squeeze by in the 3rd lane... I hope none of the branches scratched my car... I think I missed them but will have to check in the am....

The wind around here is blowing shingles and breaking branches everywhere. About 4 houses on my block will need to get a new roof. My parent's house and my neighbor are the 2 biggest ones. And the worst part is that all the shingles started falling on the driveway where my car was. Nothing hit the car so I got lucky. I ended up leaving the car at my parent's other house where the roof is brand new and shouldn't fall apart. The only thing I'm worried about is a tree that is around there. It sucks not having an available garage.

I had branches everywhere down by my house but the worst part was the live wire dancing on the street in front of my house!

Fire Dept came then the police and finally PSE&G. They were just looking at the wire hopping around throwing smoke everywhere
