When should I get my first service

Hi,

I have 2008 335i with close to 10k mile. Is it good time to schedule my first service or do I need to wait for the onboard computer to inform me to do so? I had an oil change @ 6k. Should I wait? I don't feel comfortable not having a tune up done on my car for that long. Thanks

Unless the OBC is letting you know that there is a service required, I don't think you need anything done at this time. Especially since you've already changed the oil at 6K miles.

What type of "tune up" or service do you think your car needs? With only 10K miles on it, your car is still quite new.

The dealer won't do anything unless your car tells them to do so. Make the appointment when the car is actually ready for service, not before.

Why do you think the car needs a tuneup at 10k miles?? That's usually done at at least 50k, if not 75k or 100k miles. I can understand the extra oil change, but you certainly don't need a tune up at 10k.

Did you go in for any other reason or just the oil service?
