Forge charge pipe and Wagner FMIC anyone ???

I am thinking of changing to the forge charge pipe but wanted to know if a one has done this to the Wagner FMIC and if there were any issues? Also if running more boost is the jubilee clip going to hold out? My lowers seal keeps leaking any I don't want to keep changing it as I am just about to go to my 3rd seal in 18 months

Wagner emailed me back and said it should fits as all dimensions and fitting are the same as OEM. I have alocal BMW specialist (Independant) that will fit it for £60 too. I am going to order it, get a better clamp to replace the jubilee clip it comes with and get it fitted.....I will update you when done....as it's a larger bore too, I am guessing I may even get a small power gain

Let us know, I'm interested in this kind of stuff, hope it works out and adds power to boot...

all booked in and ready to go next wednesday. Getting some better clamps this weekend as I don;t want to rely on jubilee clips when I have extra boost running.

The pipe is really well made and the machining is very good too. It even can with 2 large "O" ring seals fitted in the top mount. I have ordered a new seal from BMW for the lower mount.

Update next week when fitted

Is this the pipe that replaces the red one?

If so i have a forge and its very tight, machined tolerances was too small.

Are you going to do a dyno run or see if it makes more power mate?

Yup this is the red Forge pipe. I also have the Wagner FMIC fitted so it's metal where the seal is and not plastic like the OEM one. I am hoping the tolerences are tight as I keep getting a slight leak from the lower seal. Probably because of the extra boost required for 380BHP & 600 Ft Lbs

I won't be doing a dyno run as it's not going to drop my power and it not a significant enough a change to pay for another dyno run....even though the Dyno I use is next door to where the pipe is being fitted.

Hi Mate,

I had my remap done before the Wagner was fitted and then went back to have it "tweaked" when it was fitted...from memory I think it went up by a further 20BHP but I had also had a CKS custom exhaust fitted in the meantime with all the boxes deleted. CAT and DPF still fitted though.

Did you fit the forge pipe yourself ?

All fitted and thrashed to try and make it pop off and it has stayed in place. They did modify my bottom clip to make it lock better as the Wagner fitting for the clip is slightly different.
