Ya'll have been suckered.. hook line and sinker by a troll!

And why the hate? a 16yr old reasonable girl (read: not paris or lindsay) wont be walking on it hard coming around a corner like her equivalent 16yr old male counterpart. It'll probably also be maintained well by the dealer and cleaned frequently by the 'staff' so who gives a FRA?

Every spoiled kid I have seen just destroyed the car in a matter of months, some in days, some crashed two cars in two days.

I am not saying that she should get a beater, maybe a two door Focus will be just fine. But a kid must learn the value of the money and have a goal in life. When everything is offered on the plate, there will be no drive, no ambition for some things. Maybe some don't care, but it is a feeling of fulfilment when YOU achieve something, not your parents.

And, I agree with the rest, this is not acar for a 16YO, without experience, lots of power. This car requires some skills even for more experienced drivers, in the rain or snow, aquaplaning, you must know what to do.

Remember when Porschas use to kill people?
All that engine hanging off the back end?
Those skinny tires?

you guys are just assuming that her parents bought her the car whereas OP hasn't confirmed that yet. What if she made her own money and was able to afford a 911 at the age of 16? Would that change anything? Maybe she would respect it a lot more. Maybe she set a goal when she was 13 to buy a 911 when she got her license and made/saved enough to actually get one. In that case, how can anyone call her spoiled? Or maybe parents did pay for everything lol.

To the OP no offense but are your parents a little messed in the head? Letting a 16 year old drive that around. It doesn't matter about the MONEY it's about teaching her to work for her shit and pay it her self. My neighbor down the street bought his 17 yr old a fucking 90s Camry beater to go to school and work and on his driveway he's got a x5m, e92 m3, MB E550 and his wife drives an Audi q7 and he's got a 1 MIL + house, my dad asked him why he just doesn't let his kid drive anyone of his cars and he said theirs no way in hell his kids going to be spoiled driving around 50K whips you gotta earn that shit. I give it a month till she crashes. I still remember when I was 19 paying cash for my M3, OH wait that was a week ago

You'd actually be surprised. my old 997 4S had better consumption than my 335i and G35.

It is just a matter of she will have nothing to look forward to in terms of cars. You always want to upgrade a car, and there are few cars above this grade. It kind of sucks.

Porsche's are indeed quite safe for the car type, but as a matter of fact you can lose a 911 much more easily than a "merely" nice car like an Acura TL or something of that nature. First car+RWD+power+rear engine+wet roads+16 year old driver....just tell her to be careful. But it's an incredible machine, so congrats to her.
Yes and No to the above.
If you kick it with traction off, etc.. it isn't forgiving.
But driving every day, a 911 is PLANTED into the tarmac. Going the speed limit, she'll be safer on the roads in a 911. Snow, rain, or whatever, it handles itself better than any car I've ever driven.

I think we know what a 16 yr old girl would have to do to earn enough money on her own to buy a 911...

But what do i know.....not like i have that kind of money to give away a 911

highly doubt it would cost $600 a month. if they were smart they would insure her under the mini van and will still be covered on the 911.

I meant compared to a more traditional entry level car, Camry, Corolla, etc.

BTW, my other car is a 997.2 4S

23mpg average for the 911 versus 21 for the 335i

I used to drive my dad's '99-'00 E55 AMG to high school in like 2006-07. It was the only car that was available for me to drive at the time since it was the old car (think my dad got a new car). But my friends started talking about it and the teacher overheard and pretty much had that "rich kid grudge". I never really talked about it, I never used a car to earn acceptance. He commented how his Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla barely tops out at 90 MPH.

But it was already old so no one could tell what it was. Only if you knew what AMG was then you'd know what the car was. But it's gone now, it racked up so many mileage and the cost of doing the next fix was not worth it so it was sold.
