What to do in Barcelona?

I'm headed to Barcelona in a week and was wondering if you have any recommendations on what to do?

Restaurants?
Clubs and bars?
Are there any events happening between the 21-25th?

Thanks in advance. Everyone is telling me that Barcelona is an awesome city.

I've been there some 10 times on short business trips. If you want to see the typical touristic side at night it's the Ramblas. That's where all the action is. And fairly cheap, money for value food. Olympic port (walking distance) has zillions of harbour side restaurants, but all over priced in my view. I think it's the Placa del Teatre that is just away from the Ramblas that has some more quiet, terrace style dining places. Bear in mind resto's don't open till 8/9 pm. Best restauant for me to-date has been in the tower in the harbour, but surely reservations required, and i didn't pay.

Awesome, thanks! Yea, just spoke with a buddy of mine who says dinner isn't usually until 10/11pm at night! I'm asleep by then here... should be a good time nonetheless.
