Hi Guys new to forum looks like a wealth of info. I have sent an email to sales as I'm getting the VIN Mismatch error after moving the Procede from my 135i to my 335i. I'm so keen to try the kit in my 335i any ETA on the firmware? Or Vish could you send me the unlock firmware? I can send pics of both cars and VIN's to prove I own both. I actually already sent that info in my email to sales.

Help would be awesome it's killing me driving round in stockers ;P

Also just for info I tried running the V4 maps on the 335i and at around 5500rpm it sounded like it hit a rev limiter or something... The engine fully died! I reset the PRocede and it fired back up no worries. One of the injectors also made a buzzing sound on the v4 firware and maps. Seems to run fine on the v5 firware + maps 7-29

Keen to give it a blast

The email you through the VIN unlock firmware fairly quickly. I received mine and used it, worked a treat. The only problem I had was I didn't use the firmware that was in the same zip file as the maps, after I VIN unlocked it. I just used the latest firmware on the normal maps and it cause a bit of a drama. Downgraded the firmware and all good.

EDIT: I don't know when the new new firmware is being released. I am not sure what is in it apart from the VIN unlock, so after I had that sorted, I didn't pursue the new firmware.

So I guess do not wait for updates, but ask for unlock file and use latest firmware from the website (2010 edition?). As per Shiv, new firmware will require a DME flash, which can be done via open flash ($395) or maybe send it in ($125?). Here is the quote from Shiv:

But you will either need to ship the dme to us, use an OpenFlash tablet, or visit a shop that has dme flashing capabilities to upload the new file on to your dme.

I do believe he was talking about the flex fuel kit.

Do not run the Unlock firmware with autotune maps! You will throw a crank sensor code! upload the aggressive maps with it.

Josh, I'm not sure I understand. Per Vishnu, I ran unlock file since the Rev 2.5 I bought was locked. After I started the car to see if there are no faults and then shut off and loaded the proper map (6AT as it was 6MT before). I chose map 1 (I think it is autotune) per instructions and everything is working fine, no codes at all. Did I do anything wrong?

Shiv, so I guess DME flash is only required for flex fuel kit, but firmware can be updated when released (and that is when?)?

Nope. All good. The unlock firmware will work with any vin locked Procede. It doesn't matter what maps or firmware you run after that.

oops, I didn't clarify enough. My car threw a crank sensor code while idling with the unlock firmware and autotune maps. I'd suggest uploading the unlock firmware AND the Aggressive maps for those few minutes of idling. Then upload whatever firmware and maps you want.
