broke small connector on negative terminal

2006 325i

i was wondering what this small connector is by the negative battery terminal i broke it while putting a battery in, if its something critical or i can leave for another day to repair if it wont have any adverse effects on the drivability of the car

remove the connector and solder wires back in, accordingly. Cover with heat shrink tubing and all should be good.

forgot to mention that i dont know which wire is which, on the broken side is green and white while the other side is blue and grey, if anyone would be so kind as to show me what their undamaged connections look like

any help is appereciated, thanks in advance

most commonly, the wires with stripes will connect to each other while the solid colors do the same

Hard to see what the picture is of, but on the negative side I believe is the IBS.

Here you go, someone else had similar problem before:

Car will work but you will get a CEL from what others reported, I haven't tried it myself disconnected (IBS Intelligent Battery Sensor).
