this is great news - hopefully with further tuning (custom), the limits on the n55 can be explored further. It seems like a very finicky platform to tune on, vs. the n54 but Ill leave that to the pro's.

Like anything, it's a matter of time. The people had spoken & demanded the N55 COBB tune, now it's here. Eventually they'll have OTS Maps for every stage & receive ATP/ProTunes and ATR like the N54 users got this summer.

Im gonna stick with my JB4 till they come up with some better numbers....makes no sence to make the car go slower....as if it isn't slow enough. haha "I made a joke"

so it's $950 if you preorder?
after owning my car for over a year I'm glad it finally came out. now that I had enough time to explore the abilities of the car stock, can't wait to see how it drives with a tune. |

Really?, how delightfully pretentious, did you open your little anatomy book and look this up sweetie? Are you pretending to be a physician?, cute

The reason it sees less gains than the N54 is because the twin scroll turbo you guys have is a WAY too small. You guys are in need of a turbo upgrade more than the N54s are.

I would so get the Cobb but because of the lack of meth support there's no point...and even if I stacked Cobb and JB4 together, it's a waste of money for now because the fueling limitations of the N55 haven't been explored either yet.

not sold on Cobb at this point over JB4. The recent developments with ISO and flash coupled with the trust of dealing with BMS makes it a tough sale. Unless cobb produces a flash tune that is a true competitor to JB4 Stage 2 ISO/Flash, cobb is going to have a tough time selling at that price point. .02

Do not expect to get more power on Cobb stage 1 (intial map). Stage 2 and Stage 2+ will probably come later on...
Cobb is more plug and play for some users, no need to open the hood... But to extract as much power as the Procede / JB4 you will need to invest some time either with Stage 2 /2+ or with a custom tune (ATR / ATP). |

He mentioned that they will be developing a Cobb map to work in conjunction with the JB4. This will be specifically targeted at turbo upgrade users. |

Its so funny. Two years ago, if you mentioned the word Flash tune for fueling and ignition, you'd start WW3. oooh, the irony...
I am glad Cobb finally gave some love to N55 engines! I think the next big thing would be map switching without shutting the engine off.
