On an $8k car you may as well do the paint repair yourself. It'll take a few hours but if you do it right it will be nearly unnoticeable.

Do I need power tools and a garage. Because I have no garage or the power tools. I have a feeling I would need to remove the shell to get the dent out.

Maybe, maybe not. Vinyl tends usually looks better though. IMO you should just get it repainted.. paint always looks best and has the best shine.

a quarter sized dent?...look into painless dent removal. Could be done for 100 or thereabouts. How bad is the pain damage? Some touch up, wet sanding, compounding and polishing could really make it much less noticeable. If its not all the way down to the primer, it can be repaired. Wont be perfect, but I'd rather do this than Plastidip it. I've seen some good, and some not so dood jobs; they always look worse than real paint.
Make the damn thing shine, and people wont even notice some of the defects haha |

If the dent isnt too bad try having the dent repaired and have the panel repainted. Might work out cheaper than plasti-dipping the whole car.
I would recommend talking to a painless dent removal specialist. They would come out and do a free estimate. Will tell you if you actually need a new body panel. |

Paintless dent repairs are pretty cheap. Ranging from $70 to $150 for popping a dent. |

In my experience, Dipped cars look good for a couple weeks or so if they get very little mileage and arent exposed to the elements. After that, you will start to see blemishes and 6 months down the road, you are redoing major portions of it.
And if you daily drive your car, I'm willing to bet your front bumper will be peeling within a month from road debris. |

my coupe was dipped now changing to a red color this is my other car the Audi & my homies car which he changed colors to high satin gray wheels, mirror caps, calipers all dipped upload img gif uploader picture uploader how to print screen on pc a lot of false info here if its done right its super smooth. using a better sprayer also helps. people really have so many negative comments for plastic dip lol for the record, i have seen more bad vinyl jobs than bad dip jobs. people on this forum follow one another comment saying this is bad blah blah stop hatting on the product if you can't execute it right. or haven't worked with it. a vinyl job requires more material its also more expensive & you have to take many of the cars pieces apart. Dip has evolved. mimics any high gloss paint out there. for people who don't know go check out dip your cars youtube channel and as well as their webpage.
