Loud bang, then engine light, codes 2ABC + 2F08 + 3100. WTF???

Driving with moderate acceleration, then a loud bang and a jolt from the engine area and loss of power. It throws the engine malfunction light (half lit up yellow engine symbol) and goes into limp mode, reduced power.

Running MHD-1 with K&N filter. No other mods.
2009 335i.

Tried to clear and reset the codes with MHD, won't clear. Maybe let it sleep overnight and try to clear in the morning?

I'm wondering if it's a blown chargepipe, or maybe MAP sensor?

Suggestions????

Guessing a chargepipe. Mine did the same thing, can't remember codes though. Check the connection nearest the engine, mine broke around the c-clamp.

+2 on CP

Usually you can hear the difference since the engine has a slight deeper lower tone when accelerating.

Yes, it's definitely the chargepipe. Here is a photo.

Good thing I already ordered the Cobb upgrade from ECS, arrives tuesday.
