hence why you pay by credit card and call your credit card company rather than calling paypal.

Here is a quick lesson for you guys: when you use paypal, make sure the money is either from your checking or credit card (credit card is preferred). After that, make sure that whoever you're sending the money to is a Verified Paypal account. This is preffered but not a must. If there is a problem, immediately talk to your bank. Your bank will 1. have the power to investigate and refund you the money 2. many credit cards have fraud protection hence, they will refund the money right away and work on their own with Paypal.

Why Verified account is important? In order to be verified, you have to have a checking account and a credit card. If the scammer empty their checking account, their bank won't let anyone take more money out, hence why paypal won't be able to recover the fund, however, with a credit card, Paypal will be able to do whatever they want and hence you will get your money back instancely.

The key to take home: Don't pay with money available in your paypal and talk to your own bank when there is problem right from the beginning.
