LOL I tried that at 12am on a deserted road and the motorcycle cop wasn't too amused. 900 bucks and two points later...

I hope everyone knows that your IP trail and login ID can be tracked and your "self" admitting to public road speeds can get you in trouble.
At minimum say you were doing those speeds over on that private road in Mexico which everyone drives on I think my top speed was in my youth @ ~130 MPH (hit speed limiter) |

With the governor removed and just a tune, this guy hit 183 mph
This guy hit 6900rpm in 6th gear... With the manual tranny and 18" rims, that's about 195mph... EDIT: I didn't see the end of the video, GPS says 300kph (186mph)

Okay so it's time for a 8 speed manual with tall gearing in the 7th/8th gear stack?

Ford GT 165 mph and still accelerating when I lifted based on traffic.
GSXR-1000- 139 mph and still accelerating when I lifted for the corner. E92 335i cobb tuned stg. 1 aggressive - 139 mph and still accelerating when lifted due to strong crosswinds before the uphill transition. E60 545i spt. pkg - 131 mph and still accelerating till lift. E65 745i- 129 mph still accelerating and felt smooth and stable. E63 645i spt-pkg- 127 mph still accelerating when lifted to transition for curves. E92 M3 DCT - 120 mph in a quick burst of acceleration while test driving a friends car.

Sometimes I'll take the Veyron SS out for a spin. I once got to 434mph and counting. I ended up talking my foot off because the front end started lifting up. All this was done whilst receiving glorious road dome, of course.

"I'd imagine" you could go 155 with no problem in light traffic at night in my 335i. |

Man I feel your pain. I was born and raised in NJ. Moved down here 3 years ago and love the roads. Other aspects of life are so-so. Lol
There are a few problems that I see. First is the elements. There's no freeze thaw cycle down here and they never have to use salt. Second is amount of traffic. There are few areas in the world that are as densely populated as NY-NJ, and probably nowhere else that populated that is as reliant on cars. It all makes for a nightmare when it comes to road repair. Although for the taxes they levy in NJ the roads should be paved in gold. |

165 on historic route 66 on a spring day with no cars in sight for miles. TTRS is speed governed at 174. I could have easily reached that if guilt and fear was not setting in. I think the next time I try something like that I will be on a track.
