a great price on M3 control arms

Has anyone seen this vendor for M3 control arms? I've never bought from them
RM European http://www.rmeuropean.com

Prices below look super compared to some other vendors. Looks like ~$370 for all parts except the headlight adjuster bar, which Tischer sells for around $15 shipped.

just thought I'd pass this on...

I used to buy parts for my E36 from him all the time, definitely a legit vendor.

I bought belt pulleys from them 6 mths ago -- best prices around -- and shipped quicker than expected.

There has been a recent discussion on 1addicts.com regarding using the OEM trw components instead of the official BMW versions.

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=736789

Just linking it here to add another data point. The parts won't include the M logo, but should be the same spec otherwise.

Just a follow up. I have since replace my front control arms/tension rods with the TRW parts from Oembimmerparts.com
Thumbs up. Definitely a cheaper deal. Bushings are stiffer than stock and no issues with the install. The parts are virtual identical to the M3 parts. They even had the M3 logo originally and someone mostly grinded it off.

My TRW arms were the same way. There's a big flat spot where the M logo used to be, and someone just ground it off.

Just an FYI. There was a big debate about standard BMW control arms (kit) v the M parts (kit). TRW might produce two different parts, one for standard and one for the M type. I know the control arm kit I purchased for my 135, made by TRW, had the M logo stamped on it. Some sold at a cheaper price may not.

M3 wishbones give you more negative camber. M3 tension struts supposedly improve steering feel.

Huh, I always thought that the wishbones had other effects beyond the camber. Is there any reason to get wishbones if I already have adequate negative camber with camber plates?

They are somewhat lighter and have much stiffer bushings.

If you get the M3 control arms/whishbones can you still use camber plates or would they not be needed anymore?

I have read here that

a. Pulling the alignment pin and getting the M3 wishbones takes you to -1.5 or slightly better.
b. Going beyond -1.5 could mean more tire wear for a daily driver.

but maybe you'd want plates if you're tracking?
