Question Xenon help!!

So my passenger side low beam has gone out and has come back on a few times over the last couple months. It finally went out for good....
I had enough light after work to get the cover off, and immediately found a loose connector. 4 wire, yellow, brown, white, and silver, with a 5 pin flat white connector. I couldn't find a slot for it, but I also couldn't see very well.
I ran out of light and just put the cover back on. Didnt get a chance to take the bulb out to check it (because im dumb and the clip was being difficult).

Does anyone have a clue what I am talking about?

Since the light went out a couple times before and came back on makes me think something is loose and the bulb isn't bad yet.

Any help would be much appreciated.

That plug should go right under the igniter where the bulb sits at. It's easier if you unclip the bulb and take it out then plug it back in.

I will try that tonight. So you know what little white connector I'm talking about??? I haven't been able to find anything referencing that.

ALSO, washed the car today before seeing some clients, and now I have an ADAPTIVE HEADLIGHT failure warning light. Are the issues related? Or two separate things? Possible condensation plus a bad bulb/control unit? Or a damn loose connector?

I hate this car sometimes. What happened to a simple bulb and connector?

Found the plug for the connector, AND switched the bulbs, driver to passenger, etc.
STILL passenger side isn't working. So that rules out the bulbs...
What next?

An electrical ballast is a device intended to limit the amount of current in an electric circuit. Lamens term, powers and controls the current to your bulb.

Are you running oem or aftermarket?

Kudos for swapping bulbs for testing. Your second step would be to swap ballasts to see if you have a faulty one. Try that first and report back.

Correct me if i'm wrong boys, but just trying to help out someone here.

OEM Xenon's, it's a 335xi. The issue with swapping the ballast is if I am correct, it is the same thing as the xenon control module on the underside on the headlight housing? Because if that is the case, the bumper has to come off to swap the bulbs, and I guarantee I will break shit if I do it myself.
