And also 2% is the highest you can get with a no annual fee card. All other cards in this category ranges between 1%-1.5% for similar brainless spending and cash back redemptions.
I got it, and I finally got the other 1% for paying. Now I get it, you only get awarded based on your statement.

Since my "1.5%" true cash card (Navy) is offering an extra 2% on warehouse clubs, I use that over Citi Double at Costco. My wife has that Freedom that's doing 5% at warehouse, but it has a limit...saving it for new tires at Costco.

My Navy card is 1.5% cash, and it has no foreign transaction fees. PenFed as well, but it is not even a true 1%, so it's out.

At the end of the day, we want a straightforward reward (skip the points that are < 1%, don't post for a month, has a minimum to redeem, etc.). Seems like many do 1.5% where you can redeem a penny instantly...

I'm also going to need to know:

mother's maidan name
model of first car
high school mascot
where you met your SO
your best friend's name
your favorite subject in high school

Just 2 of these would be sufficient, and throw in you IP address for good measure

Bumping up my old thread. Got my updated AMEX Plat last month. It's now made of metal. Not so hot paying the new fees, I got grandfathered into the old fees for 1 more year with a $300 retention bonus for the next year.

No other new CCs added to my wallet recently. Thinking of adding AMEX Gold next. Aiming for 400k MR.
