Laziness FTW!

My car looks like crap right now though, swirls/scratches everywhere, bugs, frogs, birds, etc.

I might need a serious interior/exterior detailing when I get my car back...

When the accident happened, I did have my sunroof open, and it kicked up a lot of dirt into the car before coming to a stop...

My car (as of today) was being transferred to BMW of Fairfax to handle the damage... Apparently the shop I had was not 'comfortable' handling the suspension and possible drivetrain damage. While I give them a huge amount of repsect for stating that they did not feel as if they could restore it to new condition, its another week (since the accident) that I am without my car, and no work has really been done...

Well, I wish my baby the best wherever she is....

BMW of Fairfax does good work, just don't expect them to clean up any dirt! They take a while too, but I guess a good job is worth the wait.

Hopefully by the time you get your car back, I will be pro.

should Dirt damage be claimable under the car Insurance, like water would, since dirt damage was also an effect of the incident.
Maybe you can give him an estimate and see if he can submit it.

I'd have to take a look at it. I'm not sure if dirty damage is covered though lol.

Zainoing the car was a PAIN.
took me hours and my arms hurt for the next entire week.
I kept thinking... " I should have paid David" but it was too late.

Sorry but no amount of $,beer or food will make me zaino someone elses car.

you need to invest in a PC, Frank. It makes things go a lot faster.

We need a Zaino meet. I'd like to see the PC in action, too. I've done it myself (without a PC) and it worked great, but it took me like 6 hours to do two coats. Using a PC would make the process a LOT easier, and paying Shim to do it would be even better.

But IMO the product itself is pretty foolproof. If I can do it and get great results, anyone can. It just takes a lot of time.

Wow!

Shim,

Those cars look great!

Question: Can you Zaino new paint, or do you have to let new paint "cure" for a few months before you Zaino or wax it?

If it's repainted, then you have to wait a few months for it to fully cure. But if you're talking about a new car, for example, your 328i that will arrive...

BMW cures their paint in a heat oven at the factory, you could Zaino it right on the showroom floor if you wanted to.
