Insurance

Dumped Marks and Spencers after a row about winter wheels tyres and the fact they wanted £705 this year. Sainsburys - no problems about winter tyres, happy to use BMW approved body shops etc £363 with free breakdown cover - not that I need that. £450 total excess.

For a LCI 2010 e92 M sport 330i

And a 1000 Nectar points and double points for 2 years.

Excellent deal.
What sort of NCB do you have and how many years of experience?
I guess I am paying too much.

Very good deal indeed.
I am paying over 1000 as I have only 3 years NCD and 1 accident (not my fault).
Did you get it through comparison websites or directly from sainsbury?

Tried both the main site was a couple of quid cheaper and gives 2 years double nectar points and you still get the 1000 points through confused if you get a quote via them and subsequently buy it. Best of both worlds.

I am getting ripped off.

Cheapest policy on a 325d was £1270

Thats at 26, with 7 years no claims and one non fault collision from December.

Whats that about? Some places wouldn't even insure me!

I pay 800 with admiral, 330i e90 in uxbridge

My tips you can use when buying insurance

-tweak your job description, changed from computer engineer to computer technician, saved me 150

-add your girlfriend/wife, even if she doesnt have DL, apply for provisional

- chepest marital status, Co-habiting, cheaper than married

- best place to keep car is street, cheaper than driveway or garage

- always put that you and your named driver have access to other cars

- best annual milage is 4-5k, anything lower or higher is more money

My original premium was 1500, after tweaks a lot less.

Good tips, with only two tweaks, it brought its down by £50.

Cheers.

Garage List
2006 BMW 335i  [0.00]
My renewal is £830 in March with Admiral
26 years old 2 years no claims
No points (just got a NIP through, but should get the option of a driver course)

Going to give the 'tweaks' a try

Based upon my experience, If you get an online quote from admiral and don't buy, likely they follow it up with a call and an even better deal.
