Post Seat swap e92

Hi guys,

Recently decided to swap my head 2007 320d e92 Heated/Semi-electric/cloth standard seats for pretty much perfect condition Heated/Leather/memory/full electric leather sports seats.

Have managed to screw them in etc, look the dogs b@llocks, wiring loom plug fits and clips in, however on starting car get passenger restraint warning message and both seatbelt and airbag light and zero power to either seats.

I have read a many detailed posts on here, however none really answer my questions (partly due to lack of technical skills myself)

Is it a case of coding the seats to the car (if there is such thing) and clearing the warnings, or is it case of rewiring the loom plug (swapping pins etc) and then clearing the restraint/airbag warnings.

Have an idrive car.. Also if anyone knows of anyone they could recommend to do the wiring and or coding in London/SE area would be very grateful!

Many thanks in advance!

It could be just a matter of clearing the errors.

Did you unplug the battery before you took out the seats?

If your not far from slough/reading, i could do this for free for you

Not as easy as just coding or swapping pins I'm afraid.
You need new wiring to enable all functions.
Makkan did it years ago on his old car, there is a thread will full details about.

Guys thank you all very much for your recommendations, I think it is a case indeed of swapping pins, have got Makkan on the case. Will update the thread with progress!

Thanks again!
