how to wrap top of dash in 3M Di-NOC CF wrap
Could anyone that has worked with Di-NOC CF tell me how hard it would be to cover the top of my dash with this stuff. I want to cover the entire dash above the wood grain trim.
Also, anyone know if the damn airbag would be able to make it out still if it deployed. I was looking at this... http://www.pyspeed.com/product-p/rd-8081.htm |

if you could take the dash out, no problem. the stuff is fairly easy to work with.
if you are trying to do that while the dash is in the car? no way. |

i have my interior wood trim + steering wheel covered in that material by LTBMW......love it!
you would need the heat gun to stretch it around all the corners..............

not sure about the cf fabric.......
my 3M di-noc looks awesome - except a few spots(aroudn the a/c vents....and the corners around the ashtray) keep bubbling up during the hot weather..... longtran's gonna take a look at it this coming week.........the 3M looks more sturdy....

I wrapped my roof with this and on hot days I see bubbles in my shark fin. I just have to push them down though and it's fine. You definitely need a heat gun. Try not to stretch the vinyl too much. Make cuts at the corners to relieve stress in the vinyl and you shouldn't experience any, maybe a couple, bubbles when it gets hot. The reason I see bubbles on my shark fin is because I stretched it too much. When it gets hot, the adhesive loosens and the vinyl shrinks. On extreme curves the shrink will cause bubbles.
