M-Sport vs Sport Suspension
Hi,
i had always thought my car had sport suspension but I found out todat that I actually have M-Sport Suspension on my 2011 e90. My question is what is the differemce? And is the Performance suspension different still or is it the M-Sport? i know that in different countries it matters as well. I am in Canada.

In the US they're the same. Not sure about the Great White North.

In the USA, sport and m-sport trimmed cars both have the same suspension called the "m-sport" suspension. The performance suspension kit comes with new struts and springs along with a front sway bar and some other misc. hardware and is an upgrade to the m-sport suspension (overall ride much improved, slightly lower, much less body roll, somewhat stiffer).

So, you're saying M-Sport is strictly a poseur option? Why does that not surprise. What's BMW charge for M-Sport? There is no shame.... |

Take your VIN, and check in either realOEM to see what parts are installed, or use this to see decode your VIN and see your options

Some people think that the BMW performance suspension is the M Sport suspension. M sports suspension is just BMW marketing because its is the same exact thing as the sports suspension. The m sports package is just a sports suspension with some cosmetic mods, different rims, and jacked up price tag. |

The performance suspension is worth every penny over sport.

How do you find the rake with the performance suspension? I assume the front still sits slightly higher than the rear in terms of fender gap.

For the US, there is no difference between sport and M-sport for the suspension on the E92. However I do believe there was a difference between them in Europe.
