Morning everyone

As the title says I'm new to bmw's and I'm a tad confused atm, the wife and myself have just bought a 2007 320d coupe m sport.....

My questions are

Is this an E90 or E92 ?

The car is on 33k but some how the service book has been lost, is there anyway in which I can trace back to where it's been serviced ? I assume it was done with BMW due to keeping it within warrenty but not 100% sure.

Any help would be great.

I don't see any pics, so hard to say what you bought, but if it's a four door 3 series car, it's an e90. e92 is a two door coupe that is not a convertible.

Yea it's a two door and not a soft top, so it's an E92 then

As it's a BMW, maintenance would have been (indeed still is) free, so your BMW dealer should be able to pull up its records using the VIN of the car. That's where I'd start. Just ask your service adviser at the dealership.

Maintenance is not free in the UK, only the US guys get that along with much lower prices too!

But yes your local BMW dealer should be able to provide the service history, but maybe at a charge.

If your talking about the warranty tony I think it's run out because it's over 3 yrs old ( just ) but that still wouldn't be free, you guys get a good deal over there fair play.

Will follow up on the quest with the dealers.

Contact your local dealer and explain that you are considering using them for servicing/repairs and they will surely help you out. They have all details of BMW work carried out on the car and should be able to point you in the right direction re: service history.

When I bought mine, the first service was not in the book, so I found out the dealer's name and sent the service book to them. They stamped the book and gave be a copy invoice - all FOC.

I would imagine that the dealer could get you a blank service book, if not, maybe BMW UK could?

Take your key fob to your local dealer, they can plug it into a dock and call up it's history.
