Yeah, it's been my experience that with stock cats and resonator in place, the intake does much more for sound than does replacing the muffler, at least on the 330i.

I tested the sound of the 330i with the muffler unclamped, and I was surprised at how the exhaust wasn't terribly loud.

WTF that intake more than doubled the sound. Does it really change it that much or is that a trick of the video?

from the narrator, it sounds like the stock runs were done with the windows up, while the bav intake run was filmed with the windows down to better hear the intake in action

Not to steal anyones thunder and that sounds great but my AFE intake sounds virtually identical and even more aggressive since I have remus exhaust but a VERY similar sound if that is what you are looking for-AFE will give you that. Also I highly recomend either that or AFE with a REMUS-I have gotten compliments from tons of people with more power-M5s, M6s, vettes-all complimenting on what a nice aggressive sound it produces and they are used to some pretty agressive growls! Soudns great though!
