Karcher Pressure Washers

Hi guys, Im just wondering who on here has one of them...also what accessories do u have...and are they of any use?? I have had a pressure washer for ages and only been using it as a hose basically to spray water on the car and then use a bucket and mitt to wash the car then use the pressure washer to rinse it. Im starting to feel this is a little old skool, karcher have all these accessories to make life easier. I've been looking at the rotary car wash brush. Will it leave swirl marks?? Mainly i'd like a way of just being able to spray shampoo onto the car with the water...what accessory do i need for that? What about these 'foam lances'?? Thanks guys!

got a karcher here and its very good. The attachments (brushes etc) are useless if you want to avoid swirles. halfords do a foam lance for £15 which works great, proper foam - i bought one. Get your house insurance from tesco and you will get a karcher for free (offer ends today)

Forget about brushes etc. They will destroy the paintwork.

You need a foam lance and some 'snowfoam'.

It's the mutts nuts.

I recommend this one:

http://www.autobritedirect.co.uk/sho...oducts_id=1726

Process is:

Spray on the foam
Cup of tea
Rinse
Spray again
Agitate with a wash mit
Rinse
Dry
Cup of tea to celebrate

There is no way I would have a pressure washer rotating brush near my car!

Stihl 142Plus cold water washer here, 20m steel braided hose on a reel, best £350 I've spent for a long time.

Do you not wash the cars with shampoo??

I don't use any shampoo, just snow foam twice, working the second lot in with a wash mit.

You could, but the point of snow foam is that it's super concentrated. Which means that 1 inch of liquid in the bottom of the bottle, topped off with warm water, will cover the entire car.

A 5 litre container of foam has lasted me 12 months.

+1 - I have exactly the same regime as you NFS, including the cup of tea mid-way

Snowfoam is a great product, and my 5litres has lasted 12 months also for less than £20! Bargain!

I also use the same foam lance as well, great for altering the concentration and 'spray pattern' of the foam
