He purchased this of a guy on ebay but said he could not get it to work, does not have CIC.
I did purchase another combox with telematics over the weekend with a 30 day NO questions asked return policy....it should be here in a few days.
With the coding already in place, could we plug this in and test? Shouldn't we expect the Bluetooth and USB to work?

if the CIC is coded for combox it should be mostly functional when you plug it in (if not completely functional)

I received the new Combox today and proceeded to install it and I'm happy to say everything is working so far.
I have to test out Bluetooth audio streaming and paring up both of cell phones, one is work,
I also speculate I can update the CiC via USB to a newer level

I was able to update the sw on the combox via USB to the latest
But I'm still unable to have Bluetooth music streaming from either phone
It just blinks when I try to check the box
And another wierd thing is the office is check able but I have no messages showing just contacts

I can make phone calls fine and have voice recognition.
Any ideas ?

For your office functions to work, you need to enable show notifications on your phone's Bluetooth settings for the car. I have only tried this with an iPhone.

As for the Bluetooth streaming, you may need to enable the streaming portions in iDrive.

Did you recode CIC unit once 6VC is added to VO?

Probably yes, try to unpair/remove your phone, restart car and phone and try again.

Actually what was left to do was write to the combox again and force a reboot

Glad you got it working. The software updates via USB are for Combox not the CIC
